Motivation, Inspiration, and Doughnuts

Ciao Y'all What's your motivation? Your inspiration? What gets you up in the morning?

I'd say for many of us, self included, it's a mix of many things and depends on the day, week, year, and season of life we're currently living.

Motivation- It may be our children, our spouse, our significant other, our parents, those who depend on us. It could be money, bills, retirement, a vacation or big purchase we are saving for. It can be a promotion we are working on, graduation we are studying towards, so many things and lots of combinations. Some of those motivations can be crossed over into inspirations or they can be entirely different. One of my current motivations is you all, I'm motivated by your positivity....When I see your smiling faces and by the conversations we have. When I see repeat customers, when somebody enjoys their food and tells us. It means so much, so thank you to all of you who support us and this crazy dream. You are motivating :)

Inspiration- Many things inspire me (God is a constant), some days my inspiration can be something like a heroric person I've read about in the news, my hard working husband, family members (past and present), customer's, or even a fictional character in the latest novel I'm reading. Lots of combinations out there. But, somedays my inspiration is really simple. Some mornings I wake up and head to the cafe and feel inspired by doughnuts, yes, doughnuts. More specifically, doughnut recipes found on the internet, in an old cookbook or texted to me by Steph (who feeds my recipe addiction).

We have been experimenting with various doughnut recipes, our current fan favorites are our maple pecan and pumpkin. We have felt so inspired we have added a dessert case dedicated to them, but shared with other treats, like our homemade bagels, mini bundt cakes and other various treats. We hope our inspiration is contagious and you'll stop in and enjoy a dollar doughnut and a 99 cent cup of coffee, along with some smiles and conversation.

Just a reminder we are open Wed- Fri from 9am-4pm. Doughnuts are available anytime! Don't forget our Pie Happy Hour - 230-400, half off all pie or quiche slices. Check out our thrift boutique for treasures.

We serve breakfast and lunch, lunch starts at 11:00 am.

Our soup this week is a delicious homemade Stuffed Pepper Soup.

Specials- Mom's Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes, Hearty Beef Stew over Rice, Mashed Potatoes or Polenta, Pizza Bagel with Salad Bar, Penne Pasta with Red Sauce and Garlic Bread, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and a Italian Trio of Lasagna, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and Spaghetti.
